Leaving London
Small moments and thoughts on the slow and smog filled road out of London.
I am very grateful for my little home in London. It is the city in which I first met my partner, met my closest friends. I studied here, took my first dive into earning a living as an artist. It has been my home for four years and I have managed to carve out a perfectly sized chunk of it for myself so that sometimes this huge city can actually feel cozy.
So this is not a blog to complain about that-there-London, or to write it off as a crime filled nightmare and say "how can anyone bare to live here!".
No, that opinion would be too entertaining to read about.
Rather, this is a blog to express that strong sense that - despite how lucky I feel to walk 10 minutes and wild swim, or jump on a bus to see my favourite comedian, or to be able to share these things with so many near by friends - I will one day leave.
Maybe you feel this too. How do many the most of so many opportunities? How do save ourselves from taking too many?
